Building this circuit is not difficult for any one who knows that the hot end of a soldering iron is to be avoided and has found this out by first hand experience. Lets first of all assume that you are using a PCB similar to the one shown in adc11pcb.gif. The only thing of note is that there is not enough hieght to use a socket to the ADC if you want to house the finished board in a 25D-25D box usually used for custom gender changer and the like. Secondly the 25 way Ds solder directly on to the PCB. The PCB fits between the two rows of solder buckets ( 13 below the board to be soldered). The only other connection to the PC end is to pin 24 the ground connection on the printer port by a short wire to the PCB. Similar connections are available for other ground connection on both 25 way Ds. If however to intend making the circuit on stripboard its layout would be very similar to the PCB but with wire connections to the 25 way Ds or use PCB mount versions and force them into the 0.1 inch holes on the stripboard. Most of all check you circuit and check it again before you test it. Look out for solder bridges and all those sort of things. Have fun!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? MFL'94
